Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that it will be sending a station wagon version of its recently redesigned E-Class model line to the United States in June 2010.
When it arrives, the E350 4MATIC wagon will be designated as a 2011 model. It will also be the only Mercedes wagon planned for sale in the United States.
It will come equipped with a 3.5-liter 268 horsepower V6, a 7-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive, which is an option on the E-Class sedan, which made its United States debut in June.
No word on pricing, but it should be slightly north of the E350 4Matic sedan’s base price, which is about $52,000. The same baseline calculation applies to the upcoming wagon’s fuel economy, which should be close to the sedan’s 16 city, 24 highway.
